Why I'm Running
We cannot build a thriving future while entire groups of people go without what they need today.
Renters in our city face housing costs that rise faster than their paychecks—making it harder to be present for their children or invest in their futures.
Children who are Black, Brown, experiencing housing and food insecurity, or navigating schools that aren’t built for their success, are carrying the very brilliance our future depends on. But the systems meant to support them often misunderstand them, overlook their needs, or judge them through biased lenses.
We say we care about racism, anti-immigrant rhetoric, antisemitism, LGBTQ+ hate, and disengagement in our community—but too many leaders stay silent. Too many voters support candidates who don’t take clear, public stances against injustice.
This is how we lose the future.
And Gaithersburg is better than that.
Our city has outgrown the model of leadership it currently relies on. We’re not just dealing with “hard times”—we’re dealing with leadership that hasn’t kept up.
I am running for mayor to bring bold, inclusive, and future-minded leadership to Gaithersburg. One that sees and serves everyone, and is willing to do the hard work to get results that last.
